Check Scanners Warranty Information

Limited Warranty for Check Scanners

This warrants that all Digital Check and Panini scanners and all hardware included with each unit will be free of defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of shipment by Vecmar Computer Solutions. Canon check scanners will be warranted for 90 days from the date of shipment. There is no additional cost for this warranty. In the event that a unit fails during this one year period, it should be returned by customer to depot, and will be repaired and returned. In the event that the unit cannot be repaired, it will then be replaced. Our policy on warranted equipment is to replace with a refurbished unit from our inventory. Vecmar will pay for the return shipping of warranted units in the lower 48 states in the U.S. only. This warranty is non-transferrable unless approved in writing by a Vecmar representative. Warranty returns must be handled according to the check scanner warranty procedures listed below.

Digital Check’s products are warranted for one (1) year for parts and labor purchased in the U.S. The warranty period begins the last day of the month in which the product is invoiced by the reseller.

Manufacturer’s Warranty:

Only Vecmar provides a one year warranty on all factory new Panini check scanners. Vecmar is extending the six-month warranty provided by Panini for factory new products to one year.

Customers should follow warranty procedures below to return the unit to Vecmar for warranty repair or replacement.

Canon Manufacturer’s Warranty

Canon check scanners purchased from Vecmar are warranted for 90 days for parts and labor purchased in the U.S. The warranty period begins the last day of the month in which the product is invoiced by the reseller.

Proof of purchase is required. This is a return to service depot warranty. For warranty service, call Cannon's Customer Support at (757) 413-2848.

Vecmar Remanufactured Products Warranty (Remanufactured Panini and Digital Check Scanners)

All of Vecmar remanufactured product carries a 1 year return to Vecmar warranty. See Warranty Procedures Below.

Advanced Exchage and Extended warranties may be purchased with your Digital Check or Panini Check Scanner for the models shown below.

Warranty Procedures for all Check Scanners Purchased from Vecmar

In the event of a defective check scanner within the warranty timeframe, please follow these simple steps to insure proper handling of your warranty claim.

  1. Call Vecmar for a RETURN AUTHORIZATION (RA) number. This is crucial because it is impossible for us to identify your return without it. Equipment returned without prior return authorization will not be covered under warranty.
    Be sure to reference the VECMAR SERIAL NUMBER (VSN)and/or mfg serial number along with the mfg part number of the product when calling for an RA number. The VSN number is printed on a bar code label, which is located on the underside or back of the unit.

  2. Ship the defective unit to Vecmar and be sure to include the RA number assigned at time of warranty call. Defective equipment should be shipped via UPS. Be sure to use sufficient packing material when shipping.  Vecmar cannot be held liable for any physical damage to product that occurs during transit.

  3. Once Vecmar has received the unit, we will inspect it to confirm that it is not functioning properly and either replace it or repair it. Our policy on warranted equipment is to replace with a refurbished unit from our inventory. Vecmar will pay for the return shipping of warranted units in the lower 48 states in the U.S. only. International customers and those in Hawaii or Alaska are responsible for shipping charges on warranted units. Vecmar cannot be held accountable for any terms or conditions not included above
